Welcome to Sew It Seams at GRIT studios in Stockport.
Our classes cater to all levels, from beginner to advanced. Whether you want to join a specific skills workshop, or come on a regular basis for general help on your own projects, there's something for everyone.
LEARN TO SEW IN A DAY
From sewing zero to sewing hero in this fun, 6 hour workshop.
We will start with learning to thread a sewing machine and you will then make a tote bag whilst learning to use it! Once complete, you will be able to choose other starter projects to try.
All materials are supplied.
My name is Elizabeth Owen
I am the Official Seamstress for Love Sewing, the UK's favourite Sewing Magazine. I have been teaching sewing since 2016, after earning my City and Guilds (III) in Fashion. I have recently taken a studio at GRIT in Stockport, and am focusing on expanding the courses I offer, and the people I reach.
Sewing can be very therapeutic and you get to enjoy what you create once it is completed. From body positive dressmaking to free motion embroidery, from overlocker skills to pattern drafting, I offer a wide range of courses to help you get the skills you want.

ABOUT GRIT
STUDIOS
Sew it Seams is based at Grit Studios, Kingston. I am delighted to be a part of this artistic collective with artists of many different disciplines. Moving to my own, dedicated sewing studio has been hard work but it has been worth it! My love for sewing serves as the foundation for my classes and workshops as I don't just want people to be proud of what they have achieved, I want them to enjoy the process!
